George Croll

General Manager, IWV Water District

George Croll is a seasoned professional with a passion for environmental engineering and a distinguished career in public service. He earned his BS in Environmental Engineering from Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo in 1996, followed by an MS in Civil and Environmental Engineering from UC Davis in 1998. George is a registered Professional Civil Engineer in California, specializing in water treatment.

His journey began in 1998 at the US Environmental Protection Agency's Clean Air Markets Division in Washington DC, where he served as an Engineer. From 2001 to 2008, George transitioned to the US Air Force, holding the position of Environmental Engineer at Vandenberg Air Force Base in California.  

In 2008, George took on the role of Chief of Operations and Public Works Director at Vandenberg AFB, overseeing critical infrastructure programs including water, sewer, and electrical transmission/distribution. His leadership ensured the efficient functioning of essential services supporting the base's mission.

From 2014 to 2020, George served as General Manager of Minuteman III ICBM Test Launch and Evaluation Depot Maintenance, demonstrating his expertise in managing complex technical projects vital to national security. Additionally, he concurrently served as General Manager of Western Range Launch Software Development and Sustainment, further showcasing his multifaceted skills in overseeing mission-critical operations.

Beyond his professional endeavors, George is an avid enthusiast of outdoor activities such as off-road rock crawling and desert and sand riding. He also dedicates his time to pet rescue efforts, particularly for French Bulldogs, and holds a deep appreciation for State and National Parks.
