Maturango Junction, a Ridgecrest tradition for more than 35 years, is a outdoor community festival featuring a Kiwanis pancake breakfast, arts and crafts booths, live bands, dancers and singers, vehicle shows, a children's costume parade, chalk drawings on the street and much more. Thousands of people turn out for this annual October event.

Maturango Junction was sponsored last year by the Ridgecrest Chamber of Commerce, the City of Ridgecrest, the Swap Sheet, the Daily Independent, Benz Sanitation, KZIQ 92.7 FM The Coyote, KSSI I-Rock Radio and the Paid in Full Band.
